The Durham Ballet Theatre provides inclusive and accessible public performances for groups that are underserved culturally, economically and artistically in the Durham community. Our goal is to create an artistic platform that is culturally inclusive while promoting artistry, development of technique, and dance in all its forms. We take pride in the diversity of Durham Ballet Theatre, and strive to see more children and adults of all backgrounds and abilities perform with our company.
With your support we are able to bring the joy of ballet and the performing arts to more audiences in our community. This funding allows us to provide durable costumes, offer scholarships to students from low-income households, and bring in professional guest dancers. Most importantly, thanks to your support, we are able to open the doors free of charge to members of the special needs community.
